Getting Started with a Life Coach

I heard a story about 'the obstacle course of life,' where the person in the story came to a huge fence which they had to climb to continue on their journey.

They stopped to contemplate the hurdle, 'will I turn back or accept this challenge?'

Then the person stood up, took off their hat and threw it over the fence.

'Now I'm committed! My damn hat's over there - now I have to go on!'

Silly, I know but I always remember that story when it's time to 'throw my hat over the fence!'

This is usually a time when I tell someone 'I'm going to _______.' Once I've told someone I'm going to do it, I'm committed and have to follow through.
