Queer as Folk DVD Season FourSeason Four QAF Finale: The ride arrives at the border. Michael and Ben complete a joint immigration form as all married couples do, but immigration won't recognize their marriage. Michael and Ben had anticipated this but try to cross the border as a couple to make a point. When Horvath asks Debbie about the wedding plans, she says she loves him, but she won't get married in a country where her son can't. Ted's 12-step birthday comes during the Liberty Ride, and he starts to feel the anxiety expected after being away from his support group. They find a local meeting then rejoin the ride. But Ted's anxiety is fueled when they get lost. Emmett calms him by hosting a meeting (as his audience). The Queer as Folk finale continues as Ted thanks his good friends for standing by him. In Pittsburgh, Lindsay and Melanie talk about where Lindsay will head after the baby's birth. The conversation is cool until Melanie's water breaks, her changes during labor and she asks Lindsay to stay with her. Michael and Ben arrive in Pittsburgh and get the news that his daughter, Jenny Rebecca has been born. During the Ride, as a cute cyclist catches Brian's eye he loses control of his bike and runs off the road. Despite a broken collarbone and instructions from a doctor to go home, he plans on finishing. As he goes on in pain, he explains to Michael that the ride symbolizes his personal challenge. If he finishes, he can beat anything - including cancer. In Hollywood, Justin and Brett Keller learn that Rage has the go ahead from the studio. Brett offers Justin a position as assistant art director meaning he'd be in Hollywood for 6 months. After accepting the offer, he gets back to Pittsburgh in time to see Brian complete the ride. Later, Brian tells Justin he's had time to think about what he'd do differently if he survived cancer. He wants Justin to move in with him. The Queer as Folk Series Four Finale concludes with the Liberty Ride as a success. The crowd gathers at the hospice where they present a check for $732,000, saving it from closing. The hospice is renamed the Vic Grassi House.
